Promenade Tiles
When using Promenade Tiles on Glass Fibre it is necessary to ensure that any release vapours have been allowed to dissipate before fixing with PU Adhesive. These vapours will only be present when Glass Fibre has been recently laid and a period of 14 days between laying Glass Fibre and applying PU Adhesive will be sufficient to ensure that no vapours remain. Another matter that should be considered is the surface finish of the Glass Fibre. If the surface is very glossy then adhesion may be affected and a light abrasion of the surface may be necessary to ensure best adhesion. For advice on any of the above please call us on 01555 870003. When you are sure of the surface simply stick the tiles down with the PU Adhesive following the instructions.
Instructions for PU Adhesive are available to download in our technical section and on the label of all Castile PU Adhesive bottles.
Promenade Slabs
Promenade Slabs can easily be used on Glass Fibre without having to wait for vapours to dissipate or abrade the surface and this method provides an extremely quick and easy laying operation as can be seen in this example. This solution then gives the added advantages of easy removal for inspection, services, alterations and any number of other reasons for wanting to lift and relay the tiles.
