Lead

Promenade Tiles

When using Promenade Tiles on Lead it is necessary to ensure that the lead surface is not excessively oxidised as this will affect adhesion when using PU Adhesive. If the lead surface is new then this is unlikely to be the case but with older lead the oxidisation will be seen as a whitish dust on the surface. This dust must be removed before applying PU Adhesive. For advice on removal methods please call us on 01555 870003. When you are sure of the surface simply stick the tiles down with the PU Adhesive following the instructions.

Instructions for PU Adhesive are available in our technical section to download or on the label of every bottle of Castile PU Adhesive.

Promenade Slabs

Promenade Slabs can easily be used on Lead without having to remove any oxidisation and this method provides an extremely quick and easy laying operation as can be seen in this example. This solution then gives the added advantages of easy removal for inspection, services, alterations and any number of other reasons for wanting to lift and relay the tiles.
