Promenade Tiles

Whilst it is unlikely that any problem will arise from the use of PU Adhesive when using Promenade Tiles on Single Ply Membranes it is necessary to check with the manufacturer to ensure that they accept the use of PU Adhesive with their materials. For advice on the above please call us on 01555 870003. When you are sure of the surface simply apply the tiles with our specially formulated PU Adhesive following the instructions.

Instructions for PU Adhesive are available for download in our technical section and on the label of every bottle of Castle PU Adhesive.

300 x 300 Promenade Slabs

300 x 300 Promenade Slabs can be used on Single Ply Membranes without problem; however it may be worth while checking with the manufacturer to be sure of their acceptance of the method. We have agreed this method with many manufacturers and this method provides an extremely quick and easy laying operation as can be seen in this example. This solution then gives the added advantages of easy removal for inspection, services, alterations and any number of other reasons for wanting to lift and relay the promenade slabs.

The 300 x 300 range is also ideal for areas where a light weight and/or low threshold level solution is required.

450 x 450 Promenade Slabs

450 x 450 Promenade Slabs can be used on Single Ply Membranes without problem; however it may be worth while checking with the manufacturer to be sure of their acceptance of the method. We have agreed this method with many manufacturers and this method provides an extremely quick and easy laying operation. This solution then gives the added advantages of easy removal for inspection, services, alterations and any number of other reasons for wanting to lift and relay the promenade slabs.

As all the Promenade Slabs in the 450 x 450 range are manufactured and tested in accordance with BS EN1339 which covers paving in public areas and flat roofs you have the added piece of mind that the product will be strong, durable and slip resistant.

As the 450 x 450 range has a larger footprint and thickness than our smaller slabs they are heavier, however they are all within the 25kg recomended lifting limit advised by the HSE. One benefit in having a larger footprint is that the number of support pads required will be less.

Rubber Promenade Tiles

Whilst it is unlikely that any problem will arise from the use of XP 2435 PU Adhesive when adhering Rubber Promenade Tiles on Single Ply Membranes it is necessary to check with the manufacturer to ensure that they accept the use of PU Adhesive with their materials. For advice on the above please call us on 01555 870003. When you are sure of the surface simply apply the rubber tiles with our specially formulated XP 2435 PU Adhesive following the instructions.

As our rubber tiles are flexible they are very easy to lay and any minor undulations in the surface can be taken up with the tile.

Rubber tiles must be laid with a 3mm gap between each tile and around the outside of the layout to allow for drainage and thermal expansion.

We recommend the use of our rubber tiles on low to medium trafficked areas as they do wear more than our GRC range of products.

Instructions for PU Adhesive are available online or on the label of every bottle of Castle PU Adhesive.
