EPDM Rubber Tiles

Dflect EPDM is manufactured with a virgin rubber top layer. As no recycled (SBR) rubber is used on the top layer, the EPDM range has a wider choice of colour options. The EPDM tile has a nearly identical drainage channel design to Dflect Recycled Tiles.

As the EPDM option contains virgin rubber, they are a more expensive product, but they do create a unique surface finish. They are also a more UV-stable product and perform better on flammability and smoke classification.

EPDM rubber playground tiles UK are not subject to carbon leaching, so we advise the use of EPDM tiles where very young children will be crawling on the tiles.

EPDM is an abbreviation of Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer. Our EPDM tiles have a top layer as per your colour choice. The remainder of the tile will also be SBR rubber in black.

We also have the ability to manufacture in other EPDM colours so if you have a special colour in mind, please let us know and we will confirm availability.

A great experience with Castle Composites! We purchased the EPDM Rubber Tiles in ‘Sunburst’ for the kids’ play area section of our garden. Fraser was a wonderful help - from the first phone call enquiring about the product, showing us samples at the warehouse, liaising throughout the ordering and production process (and for helping with a later change to increase our order quantity within the same batch), to ensuring smooth delivery, Fraser’s customer service was fantastic and very much appreciated.
